How to Play Airplanes

Getting started is simple:

• Step 1: Create an account or login
• Step 2: Click "Play Now" from the homepage
• Step 3: Wait for an opponent to join (automatic matchmaking)
• Step 4: Place your airplanes on the grid (24 squares total)
• Step 5: Click "Ready – Send!" when done
• Step 6: Start shooting when both players are ready!

The game uses a 10×10 grid system:

• Rows: Labeled A through J (vertical)
• Columns: Numbered 1 through 10 (horizontal)
• Each square has a unique coordinate like "B5" or "G8"

This is similar to Battleship or chess coordinates!

Yes! Airplanes works on all devices:

• ✅ Desktop computers (best experience)
• ✅ Tablets (great for drawing)
• ✅ Mobile phones (works but smaller screen)/Desktop site

For the best placement experience, we recommend using a tablet or larger screen.

Placement Phase Rules:

• You must fill exactly 24 squares on your grid
• Click squares on your grid to fill them (they turn blue)
• Airplanes should be connected groups of squares (like straight lines or T/L shapes)
• A counter shows your progress (0/24 → 24/24)
• The "Ready – Send!" button enables when you reach exactly 24 squares
• Once both players send their placements, the shooting phase begins

Note: You can create any airplane shapes you want – be creative!

Shooting Phase:

• Players take turns shooting (Player 1 starts first)
• On your turn, click any square on your opponent's grid
• You'll see the result immediately (miss, hit, or destroy)
• After your shot, it becomes your opponent's turn
• You cannot shoot the same square twice
• The game alternates: Player 1 → Player 2 → Player 1 → etc.

Shot Results:

Win Condition:

• Destroy all 24 of your opponent's squares
• Every airplane square must be hit – no mercy!
• The game ends immediately when the last square is hit
• There are no ties – one player always wins

What Happens When You Win:

• ✅ Your balance increases by the reward 01POT
• ✅ You get +1 win on your stats
• ✅ Opponent gets +1 loss
• ✅ Game is marked "finished" with you as the winner

Complete Match Sequence:
